Openings

Openings are monthly meetings open to Sufi Way initiates and committed Open Path students with Pir Elias, Murshid Kiran Rana, and selected conversants.

Sometimes called “A Sufi Way Forum on Our Work,” or an “Esoteric Study Class,” in these gatherings we explore topics of meaning for those who have expressed a sincere interest in the work of the Sufi Way and the Open Path.

The range of themes we engage in is wide — from early Sufi teachings and their philosophical and cultural contexts through the whole field of Inayat Khan’s Message of Spiritual Liberty, to the intimate challenges we each face in life.

Often the focus is on developing skills of guidance, teaching, counseling, healing and caretaking, leading journeys, ceremonies, worships and zikrs.

Openings sessions run about 1½ hours and are held online on the first Saturday of the month, except when there are ongoing retreats in progress.
